Pleasing God

In what ways do you try to please God? Perhaps you try to please God through worship, or maybe Bible study, or even acts of ministry. Some seek to please God through prayer, or giving, or simply being obedient. Beware lest you select incorrect methods. Nadab and Abihu displeased God by offering a “profane fire before the Lord” and were destroyed. Then God spoke to Moses and said, “By those who come near me I must be regarded as holy; and before all the people I must be glorified” (Leviticus 10:3) Be sure that in your attempts to please God this week, you regard Him as holy. Above all else make certain God is glorified.

Please join me in prayer this week for the following:
• Saturday, June 14th is “Troitsa” (troy-it-sa) – or Pentecost Sunday according to the Orthodox calendar. There will be many evangelistic outreach activities in the Orthodox parts of the world. Pray the Father would speak to the hearts of many as His Word is proclaimed.
• Pray that the government of Myanmar would allow foreign aid agencies to get involved in the relief works, as people desperately need the help from experts from outside.
• Pray for a Bible translator in Cameroon who is returning to the U.S. next month for a five-month furlough.
