Staying in Touch
“I’ll be in touch!” Ever hear that and then not hear from the person for days? I hear it all the time. At last count, I could be reached via three phone numbers, six E-mail addresses, three web sites, two post office mailing addresses, and Facebook. So, what’s the problem? Probably time management, hopefully not lack of interest. As frustrating as that is for me, it makes me wonder how frustrating it is for God when we do not communicate for days and days. God says, “Call to Me, and I will answer you” (Jeremiah 33:3). So, what’s the problem? It’s not God’s problem, it’s ours. God wants to communicate with us, invites us to communicate, and encourages us to communicate. What happens when we fail to communicate? Information is missed, connection is broken, relationship is stressed, friendship is . . . Well you get the idea.
Recently Tom Victor of the Houston Prays Leadership Team, did an interview with me related to my Houston connections. The interview will eventually become an article, but meanwhile, Phil Miglioratti has posted it on his blog. If you click quickly on – http://www.ibsaprayer.blogspot.com – and scroll down a bit, you can read the full interview entitled, “Wisdom from an SBC Prof”
