How Much is Enough?

How much is enough when it comes to following God’s will? I remember as a teen-ager, feeling called by God to the ministry yet trying to rationalize in my own mind how I could follow that calling, yet still fulfill the personal plans I had for my life. That experience taught me that God has little interest in part time followers. Have you had an experience like mine – maybe for a life calling, maybe for a less lengthy calling, perhaps for a simple decision of complete or partial following If God graded on the curve, you might get by. However, God doesn’t grade on the curve. So, how much is enough? What if Noah had built the arc up to 90% of God’s specifications? What is he had taken only half of his family on to the arc with him? What if he had decided not to take doves on the arc? For Noah, it was 100%. “Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did” (Genesis 6:22). Whatever God tells you to do, do it all.

• Pray for U.S. Election Day, Tuesday; and for the relief efforts in the northeast part of the country.
• Sunday, November 4th, was the first Sunday service of a new church in Nidzica, in Northeast Poland. Pray for this new church.
• Pray for the nine persons (from Texas, Mississippi, Alabama) who will be with me this week in a Vancouver (Canada) Vision Tour.
• Pray for Tim and Elisa as they settle in to their new location for service and begin language study.
