Living the Jesus Way

Living the Jesus way includes running with the lame one, jumping with the paralyzed one, celebrating with the restored one, listening with the deaf one, shouting with the mute one, observing with the blind one, rejoicing with the healed one. If you don’t understand any of this, you can ask the once demon possessed one who, having met Jesus found himself, “in his right mind” (Mark 5:15; Luke 8:35). What does all this mean? It means that those who live with and for Jesus live with the daily possibility of miracles. Life with the Lord is one potential surprise party after another. And even when a miracle is requested and denied, God gives us the sufficient grace to deal with its absence. Trust me. I’ve been the recipient of both miracle and grace and I’ve observed that those who choose to live without Jesus, experience neither. What an awesome God we serve!

Join me this week in praying for the following global concerns:
• Last week I asked you to pray with me for a church in Vancouver that needed 50 NIV Pew Bibles or $500 to purchase them. The answer came within hours and the money is on the way. Now, give thanks with me.
• Last week I asked you to pray with me for a 12 passenger van for WestCoast Baptist Association. If one is given, someone offered to drive it to Vancouver.
• Pray for those in the Santiago District of the Baptist Convention of Eastern Cuba, who lost everything to hurricane Sandy. Likewise to those along the U.S. eastern seaboard.
Pray for a soon-to-be, short-term medical expedition to a village in the Baltics.
