Too Much Vision

When someone shares too much information, they are often met with the initials, TMI. What happens when one shares too much vision? It’s an old, but still good, story. Might even be a true story. In the midst of his sermon, a preacher exclaimed, “If this church wants to be great, it needs to walk with God,” to which the congregation replied, “Let it walk, Pastor!” Inspired at the response, the preacher continued, “If this church wants to be great, it needs to run with God,” to which the congregation replied, “Let it run, Pastor!” Sensing momentum, the preacher said, “If this church wants to be great it needs to fly with God,” to which the congregation replied, “Let it fly, Pastor!” On a communication roll, the preacher said, “If this church wants to be great, it needs more money,” to which the congregation replied, “Let it walk, Pastor!” The Bible warns, “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18 KJV), but similar results can be expected, if a leader shares too much vision (TMV?) with followers.

Pray with me this week for the following global requests:
• Pray for open doors for sharing the Gospel for “A” who serves in a Megalopolis of 60 million people.
• Pray for the fading Christian influence in Germany where 30% of the population now identify themselves as “non-religious.”
• Pray for Kyle’s Canadian Permanent Resident application that is still being processed.
• Join with WestCoast Baptist Association in Canada as they ask God to increase their prayer partners to1000 who will pray weekly.
