Words of Advice

I am compiling a book on Advice with a different bit of advice each day. I have learned that much advice takes many words, but some of the best advice takes only four words:

• Think before you speak.

• No pain, no gain.

• Go with the flow.

• Be still and know (Psalm 46:10)

Other advice is even more brief, like three words:

• Always be nice.

• Do your best.

• Enjoy every day.

• “Love one another’ (John 13:34).

How about two-word advice?

• Be honest

• Accept yourself

• “Judge not” (Matthew 7:1).

Collecting these words of advice and compiling them into a soon to be released book, is one of the most challenging things I have done in recent years. The title of the book comes from my High School Baseball Coach – “Don’t Die on Third.” Would you like to assist? Have you ever received or given some advice that you could share in my book? If so, just click “Like” or send me an e-mail at dcrawford@swbts.edu and I will send you the instructions. Oh, by the way, you are not limited to a few words. Just don’t get carried away.
