A Three-Year Old Response

The fact that Jesus loved children is clearly established in scripture – Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14).  I just worder how He would have reacted to my three-year old great granddaughter, Joanna Rose (Rosie) Kennedy who announced the other day that Jesus had told her that all the toys in Mattel Toy Store were for her.  When I asked her about all the other little girls that might not have any toys in the store, her reply was, “That’s up to Jesus.” This  exchange makes me proud of three things. (1) A three-year-old knowing and talking about Jesus.  I have been in parts of the world where adults don’t know as much about Jesus as my great-granddaughter. (2) A three-year-old can make a quick response about Jesus. I’ve seen adults have to think a long-time when asked a question about Jesus. (3) A three-year-old wants all the toys in the store, but is willing to make allowances for other little girls.  Some adults wouldn’t even be willing to leave it up to Jesus.
