New Weight Loss Method
Several years ago, I set a goal for weight loss, and I never reached it, but now that goal is in sight. In fact, as of this morning, I am within two pounds of reaching it and four pounds off reaching my “Hallelujah Goal.” What weight loss method am I using? Thanks for asking. First, it involves exercise. In the last few weeks, I have walked more than usual. Second, my method includes weight-lifting. In the past few weeks, I have picked up and put down more weight than I normally do. Third, my method includes a healthy diet. In the past few weeks, I have eaten all of my meals at home, eliminating restaurant food. What’s the name of my method? Again, thanks for asking. It’s called “Caregiving.” Since my wife’s Pacemaker implant followed four days later with a multiple fracture fall, then wrist surgery, rendering both arms and hands basically useless, I have been the 24/7 caregiver. I have walked many more steps than usual, lifted her and sit her down over and over, and eaten less calories than normal. So, if none of your weight-loss methods are working, find a friend who needs care and go to work, or call me. I’ll let you spend a day at my house. “Care for one another” (1 Corinthians 12:25).
