Everyone grieves \u2013 some of us at the loss of a loved one to death, some at the loss of a job, some at a medical report, some at the betrayal or even attitude of a friend, some at the circumstances around them, and a multitude of other reasons. Grief is rather normal. It goes with the territory. By definition, grief is a natural response to loss, and we all suffer losses. Grief strikes believers and non-believers alike. However, believers have a resource that helps them cope with grief. God offered to Paul and to us, sufficient grace. \u201cMy grace is sufficient for you\u201d (2 Corinthians 12:9). Grace is the loving and merciful presence of God with us, because God desires us to have that presence, not because of anything we have done to earn it. Grace doesn\u2019t remove grief. But, with God\u2019s comforting, assuring, affirming, presence, believers can grieve in grace.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Pray for Jerry, a missionary pilot with Sahel Aviation. He was flying back to Mali from Johannesburg last week when his plane disappeared in bad weather. He has yet to be found.
\n\u2022 Pray for Todd, a military Chaplain, who serves U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
