Sometimes it is the least likely, who obey.\u00a0 When God called Jonah, there were a series of disobediences.\u00a0 Jonah went to Joppa rather then to Nineveh.\u00a0 He went down into a small ship, rather than going up to a great city.\u00a0 He went with sailors to Tarshish rather than going in the presence of the Lord.\u00a0 So where does one find obedience in this story &#8211; in the least likely place. \u201cThe Lord appointed a great fish to swallow Jonah\u201d (Jonah 1:17), then \u201ccommanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah up onto the dry land.\u201d (Jonah 2:10).\u00a0 Twice, the fish obeyed the Lord.
