{"id":3119,"date":"2022-05-08T06:34:22","date_gmt":"2022-05-08T11:34:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/discipleallnations.org\/members\/?p=3119"},"modified":"2022-05-08T06:34:22","modified_gmt":"2022-05-08T11:34:22","slug":"a-praying-mother","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/discipleallnations.org\/members\/2022\/05\/a-praying-mother\/","title":{"rendered":"A Praying Mother"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Three years before my mother was born, U.S. President Woodrow Wilson set the second Sunday in May as Mother\u2019s Day.\u00a0 If she were still alive, she would be 105 years old and celebrating her 80<sup>th<\/sup> Mother\u2019s Day.\u00a0 However, she transferred all of her celebrations to heaven twenty-two years ago.\u00a0 She was the greatest prayer warrior I ever knew.\u00a0 A friend said of her, \u201cWhen her prayer requests went to heaven, they went to the front of the line, because she and God were on a first name basis.\u201d\u00a0 If she were still alive, her cell phone would have God on speed-dial. \u00a0If God owned a refrigerator, my mother\u2019s picture would be on the door. \u00a0Long before I knew anything about spiritual gifts, I knew my mother had the gift of Intercession (Colossians 1:9). When I would call home to ask for advice, she always seemed to know why I was calling before I shared my concern.\u00a0 And why not?\u00a0 She and God had already discussed it. It is no wonder that I have recruited hundreds of prayer partners to replace my praying mother. Her favorite response to my concerns, was always, \u201cIt will be better tomorrow.\u201d\u00a0 She was usually correct.\u00a0 I\u2019m counting on her advice to be correct again.
