\u201cThe times they are a-changin\u2019\u201d sang Bob Dylan.\u00a0\u00a0I recently did my first Podcast.\u00a0\u00a0I had only heard about such, but never participated in one. I learned that a podcast is \u201ca program made available in digital format for download over the Internet.\u201d This wasn\u2019t my Podcast.\u00a0\u00a0I was interviewed on the Podcast of a friend.\u00a0\u00a0I was briefly intrigued, but then remembered that I am a low-tech guy, living in a high-tech world. So, I guess, I\u2019ll stick with what I understand. I do like the idea of people being able to listen or watch a Podcast at their leisure.\u00a0\u00a0Seems a lot of things are done these days at leisure.\u00a0\u00a0Due to the quarantine of Covid, churches began live streaming their services, then placing the video on the church web site so members and others could \u201cworship\u201d at their leisure. I accepted an Interim Pastorate where my first seven sermons were preached to an I-Pad.\u00a0\u00a0I assumed someone was \u201cout there.\u201d I did a few guest lectures at my Seminary, where the majority of students were somewhere other than the classroom, or so I was told. I once taught a course at my Seminary entitled, \u201cThe Use of Media in Evangelism.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Now that I think about it, none of the methods taught in that course are relevant today. I take great comfort in the fact that \u201cJesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever\u201d (Hebrews 13:8), even if little else is.<\/p>\n
