Last week had been marked on my calendar for a long time – \u201cVacation!\u201d The \u201cwant list\u201d was simple: Go somewhere that the scenery was conducive to relaxation, a place that both Joanne and I would enjoy. No flying (I don\u2019t mind flying; I just get tired of airports). No long driving (see flying\/airports). Good food, away from the 100 degree heat, and attending a few ball games would be a bonus.\u00a0 The week began with me sitting on my front porch, listening to four and a half inches of rain, and enjoying my beautiful front yard, complete with the \u201cYard of the Month\u201d sign, placed there by the Neighborhood Association. We ate at a new restaurant each day (Cajun food at Boo Ray\u2019s, Dave\u2019s Hot Chicken, Woody Creek BBQ, Indian Tacos at Hooker\u2019s Grill, Chicken Fried Steak at River Oaks Cafe, Mexican Pizza at Pizza Patron, and Indian food at Tikka Tikka.). We enjoyed attending our great-grandson\u2019s swimming class.\u00a0 We watched lots of Little League Baseball World Series games on TV.\u00a0 The weekend brought the return of \u201cFriday Night Lights\u201d so I attended a football game. (No cash or credit cards allowed. You have to scan the website, and have your ticket on your cell phone\u2019s wallet. Same at the concession stand. It\u2019s a plot to keep senior citizens from attending the games.) The 100 degree temps stayed away.\u00a0 Unfortunately, one of us backed our vehicle into the other\u2019s vehicle – in the driveway.
