On the day of the funeral for Queen Elizabeth II, one of her quotes was shared by the media: \u201cGrief is the price we pay for love.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0There is a lot of truth in that statement.\u00a0\u00a0For believers, however, grief is not because we\u2019ve lost someone.\u00a0\u00a0We know exactly where they are.\u00a0\u00a0Grief is because we will, for a time, be separated from them – days, weeks, months, perhaps years.\u00a0\u00a0They feel no such grief.\u00a0\u00a0The Bible repeatedly assures us that there is no night in heaven, but one eternal day (Revelation 21:25; 22:5) So for the departed, the separation will be different.\u00a0\u00a0For them – with no night in heaven – we will arrive and be reunited later today.\u00a0\u00a0One other observation – The crown on the casket of Queen Elizabeth II contained 2,868 diamonds, 17 sapphires, 11 emeralds, 269 pearls, and four rubies.\u00a0\u00a0It did not accompany her upon her arrival in heaven, but rather it was replaced with a \u201ccrown\u00a0of glory\u00a0that\u00a0does\u00a0not\u00a0fade\u00a0away\u201d(1 Peter 5:4).\u00a0\u00a0The Queen has met the King.<\/p>\n
