\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Some things you really need are hard to find, especially in a small town, but \u201che who seeks finds\u201d (Matthew 7:8).\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>A big, fast truck passed me in the other lane.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>As it went by its back wheel threw a rock into my front windshield.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Immediately, I saw a crack moving across the window.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>As the crack continued its slow move, I remembered a lesson from my truck driving grandfather.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Ladies clear nail polish, applied to the crack, will stop the spread.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Two problems: Joanne didn\u2019t have any clear nail polish with her and I was twenty miles from the next town – Falfurrias, Texas.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Finally, a truck stop was in sight, and I exited the highway and went in to make a purchase.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>No!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Love\u2019s Truck Stop does not sell nail polish.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>When the clerk asked why I needed nail polish, and I told him, he spit a stream and issued a few non-repeatable words.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Try Walmart a few blocks into town, he advised through laughter.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>I should have known.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Every south Texas town of 4000 has a Walmart.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>But again.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>No nail polish.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u201cTry Dollar Tree\u201d said the apologetic salesclerk, with a smile.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Of course. I just wasn\u2019t thinking.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Several more blocks into town and, sure enough!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>They had it.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>I bought it, as the clerk gave me a \u201cthat\u2019s going to look good on you nails\u201d look.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Applied to the windshield crack, the movement stopped just in time.
