{"id":3818,"date":"2025-07-27T06:10:28","date_gmt":"2025-07-27T11:10:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/discipleallnations.org\/members\/?p=3818"},"modified":"2025-07-27T06:10:28","modified_gmt":"2025-07-27T11:10:28","slug":"ducks-on-the-pond","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/discipleallnations.org\/members\/2025\/07\/ducks-on-the-pond\/","title":{"rendered":"Ducks on the Pond"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As I passed the lake near my house last week and saw a large number of ducks, it reminded me of two things.\u00a0 First, another well-used piece of advice from my High School Baseball Coach \u2013 \u201cDucks on the pond.\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0In baseball terminology, that means there are runners on base and the batter has the opportunity of knocking them in for a score.\u00a0 In life, the term means all the possibilities are in place for you to succeed.\u00a0 The second thing I remembered was that the deadline for my next book is coming up at the end of this week \u2013 July 31. I have compiled a book of advice, with one piece of advice per day.\u00a0 I\u2019ve invited friends to share advice they received or gave, and many have shared. With the publishing deadline literally hours away, there is still time for you to share and be included in the book.
