Her reply to him, concerning the prayer of others was, \u201cTell them it\u2019s not working,\u201d \u00a0For many years, I had taught in the classroom and in churches, that there is no such thing as unanswered prayer. \u00a0We love it when God says \u201cYes\u201d to our prayer requests, but sometimes He says \u201cNo\u201d and that is also an answer. \u00a0Other times He says \u201cWait\u201d and that also is an answer. \u00a0But now my wife was telling our friend that the prayers of others was not working. \u00a0I made a mental note to discuss that with her later. \u00a0Meanwhile I couldn\u2019t get it off my mind. \u00a0Then, a few days later the selected verse from the\u00a0Moravian Daily Texts website, which I receive via e-mail every morning and use in my morning devotional time, was from Psalm 115:3,\u00a0\u201cOur God\u00a0<em>is<\/em>\u00a0in heaven;\u00a0He does whatever He pleases.\u201d I was reminded again that prayer is not telling \u00a0God what to do but rather responding to what God does.
