For Christians, Easter Monday continues the commemoration of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.history.com\/articles\/resurrection-stories-ancient-cultures\" data-sentry-element=\"NextLink\" data-sentry-component=\"Link\" data-sentry-source-file=\"link.tsx\">Jesus\u2019 resurrection<\/a>, although not in any formal way.\u00a0 Very few churches observe Easter Monday, possibly because they have worn out their congregations by observing Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and of course, Easter Sunday.\u00a0 More probably, it is not observed in favor of making Sunday\u2019s observance of the resurrection of Jesus, the highlight experience. Honestly, \u00a0many people don\u2019t really understand the significance of Easter Monday. In fact, depending on where you live, it may be a holiday you&#8217;ve barely even heard of. So, what does it mean and why should we even care?\u00a0 For Christians, it offers a beautiful opportunity for reflection. The resurrection of Jesus isn\u2019t just a moment in history \u2014 it\u2019s crucial to our faith. Spending a day or more reflecting on that fact is a worthy endeavor and while there will likely not be any services at your church today, why not give yourself permission to pause. To reflect.
