The old spiritual says, \u201cNobody knows the trouble I see . . .\u201d While that may be true on a human level, it is not true when it comes to one\u2019s relationship with God. The Psalmist proclaimed, \u201cO Lord, you have searched me and known me\u201d (Ps. 139:1). It is impossible to hide our weaknesses, our failures, our pain, our mistakes, our inadequacies from God. The all-knowing God is aware of our ups and our downs, our victories and our defeats, our positives and our negatives. Absolutely nothing takes God by surprise. God plans our path (Ps. 139:3) and accompanies us along the way. I don\u2019t know about you but that affords me great comfort. With God, I do not have to prove myself, impress, cover-up, or justify my actions. I can relax in God\u2019s omniscience and I plan on doing just that this week. Join me?<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Monday, Sept. 29th is the first day of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. This is a two day holiday when people attend synagogue and have festive meals with their family and friends. It is also a time when people send each other greeting cards.
