Paul referenced that idea in Gal. 6:9 and again in 2 Thess. 3:3. Most have experienced it. In our instant everything society, we mistakenly think we can plow, plant, nurture, and reap all at the same time. When that doesn’t happen, we grow weary. Part of the problem is that once the seed is planted and disappears, we don’t see it again for awhile. In the absence of seed, we grow weary waiting. But, if we know for certain that the plowing, planting, and nurturing will bring forth fruit, we can be blessed even in the weariness of waiting. The Psalmist said, “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him” (Ps. 126:5-6). So keep plowing, planting, and nurturing. Harvest joy is not far away.

Join me this week in remembering these global concerns:
• Pray particularly for Macau Baptist College as they minister to many students and their families.
• Pray for those who work with Muslims in Western Europe as they work through many cultural barriers that keep Muslims from listening to the Gospel.
• Pray for missionaries who have set a goal of prayer walking around every Jewish institution in their Russian city.
• Pray for opportunities for ministry in northern Thailand.

Ever grow weary in well-doing?
