There\u2019s a lot of anxiety involved in attending a reunion. This coming weekend is my 50th High School class reunion. I\u2019m anxious that others will have changed so much they might not recognize me. I\u2019m anxious someone might look at me and ask, \u201cWhat happened to you?\u201d I\u2019m anxious someone might remember that I owe them money. I\u2019m anxious someone might ask, \u201cDidn\u2019t you date my wife?\u201d Psychologist Joyce Brothers once wrote, \u201cNinety-nine and nine-tenths percent of people have some anxiety about going to a reunion. The rest are people who are so secure and have done so well they have no intention of going back.\u201d I\u2019ve done fairly well, but I\u2019m going back. I haven\u2019t been to one since the 35th year reunion. The anxiety of the reunion makes me extra glad that my heavenly reunion holds no such emotion.
