I attended my Grandson, Price\u2019s Kindergarten Graduation last Thursday night. Student answers to three questions were shared with the audience as they received their diplomas. What do you want to be when you grow up? Price: \u201cA Paleontologist.\u201d What\u2019s your biggest wish? Price: \u201cTo own 7 rifles, 2 shotguns and a pistol.\u201d What do you hope to learn in the 1st grade? Price:\u201d How to fish and how to kill a squirrel.\u201d I\u2019m fairly sure when I graduated from Kindergarten I had never heard of a Paleontologist, nor could I have looked it up, since I would not have been able to spell it. I did desire to own a Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun, at least till my cousin shot me with his. I never much cared for guns after that. And my desire for 1st grade? It was probably to get to 2nd grade, since I was never the sharpest student in the class. Who would have dreamed that someday, I\u2019d be \u201cDr. Dan\u201d? The content of dreams change, yet even with the changing times, the act of dreaming about the future remains constant. So it was meant to be. The Bible says that \u201cOld men shall dream dreams\u201d (Joel 2:28; Acts 2:17) but surely nothing like those dreamed by young men. So dream on Price and all you other Kindergarten graduates. The world awaits you.<\/p>\n
