The key to happiness among religious people is close friendships with fellow church-goers. That was the conclusion of a recent study led by a professor from the University of Wisconsin and a researcher from Harvard University and released in the recent issue of the \u201cAmerican Sociological Review.\u201d I never cease to be amazed at how large sums of money and great expenditures of time are spent trying to prove what the Bible has already proclaimed as truth. In Romans 12:5, Paul states that believers, \u201cbeing many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another\u201d and in 1 John 1:7, John instructs believers to \u201chave fellowship with one another.\u201d This study reminded me of an earlier study reported by now defunct \u201cOmni\u201d a scientific magazine, which proved man needs at least one day of rest out of every seven. It made me want to ask, \u201cSo how far did you get in your attempt to read through the Bible, maybe Genesis?\u201d My suggestion? Read the Bible as God\u2019s authoritative word and save yourself time and money trying to re-prove what is already stated as truth. How much of the Bible did you read in 2010? Any goal for 2011?<\/p>\n
