Hundreds of thousands of acres have burned this week across the southwestern part of the U.S. People have been evacuated, homes have been destroyed, the earth has been scorched. The Psalmist wrote, \u201cThe earth is the Lord\u2019s and all its fullness\u201d (Ps. 24:1). Question: Is that chaired earth still the Lord\u2019s? Answer: Absolutely! What about the people who have lost so much? Second part of the verse, \u201cThe world and those they dwell therein.\u201d In tragedy and in prosperity, in sunshine and in rain, in the warm, gentle breezes and the wind-swept flames, God is the owner (Basic meaning of the word \u201cLord.\u201d). We have remembered and will continue to remember those who have suffered loss, but we can do more. We can be reminded that when times are tough, God is still the owner. The Lordship of Christ is 24\/7, no vacations, no holidays, no evacuation when hard times come. God\u2019s grace is sufficient for every circumstance of life. The land will eventually produce again. Structures will be re-built, Life will rise out of death. It\u2019s the resurrection message of Easter.<\/p>\n
