This week I will speak briefly to graduates at my own Alma Mater, my last official function as President of the Alumni Associations\u2019 Board of Directors. I\u2019m not sure how much graduates actually hear at commencement services, but should some be listening, I will tell them that from this day forward, their University days will be the subject of memories. Future conversations with fellow classmates, such as at Homecoming events, will likely begin with, \u201cDo you remember . . .\u201d or \u201cRemember when . . .\u201d I will share a couple of my memories of student days (I always hated that when alumni returned to speak in Chapel), then challenge them to file away memories for future years. Memory is one of God\u2019s greatest gifts, and one of life\u2019s greatest losses when it leaves us. My prayer for these young graduates is that when they look back it will be true of them, even as the Lord said to His people long ago, \u201cYou shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way\u201d (Deut. 8:2). Why not spend a few moments reflecting on how God had led you in the past, and as you remember, give thanks. Then recommit yourself to continued following of God\u2019s leadership in your life.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Pray for Freedom Biker Church in Vancouver, Canada, as they seek a place to meet for worship.
