Sometimes you just have to move on. I\u2019m not talking only of geography, but also of moving emotionally, mentally, or spiritually. Life was good in Capernaum. The people were loving, and accepting of Jesus. In fact on one occasion, Mark writes, \u201cThe whole city was gathered together at the door\u201d (Mark 1:33) and again, \u201cEveryone is looking for You\u201d (Mark 1:37). Jesus was so popular that He could have stayed in Capernaum, built a mega-church, had a multi-media ministry, and never been crucified. But that is not why God sent Him to earth. So the response of Jesus, \u201cLet us go . . .\u201d (Mark 1:38) is not surprising. The purpose for which we are called often pulls us onward, much to the amazement of our friends. Simply, there are things we must do. Mark Twain wrote, \u201cTwenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn\u2019t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.\u201d Are you where you need to be today or is it time to move on? If you are where you need to be, pray for those who need to move on. If you need to move on, then move on.<\/p>\n
