A Lesson from my Cell Phone

Before it becomes obsolete, let me say that my cell phone is a lot like the Christian life. When I tried to use it the other day the signal was low and when someone did answer on the other end, I would quickly lose them. Then I remembered! I forgot to re-charge the battery. At least once a day, sometimes more, I need to plug my cell phone into the power source and re-charge it. Otherwise, it becomes weaker and weaker and eventually useless. My spiritual power comes from God. It’s how I do what I do. The Bible says, “As your days, so shall your strength be” (Deut. 33:25). If I try to go too long without a spiritual re-charge, I become weak, powerless, and eventually useless. Slow me down Lord, at least long enough to re-charge, lest I become powerless in my ministry and useless to You.

Join me today in remembering the following global concerns;
• Continue to pray for the nine Seminary students who are with me in the Urban Evangelism Practicum this week in Vancouver, Canada.
• Pray for workers in Russia who are having a team meeting this Friday on Skype to discuss their master strategy plan.
• Pray for Joe as he makes his way back to Kiev.
• Pray for the launch of the 4/40 window across Korea.
